01Max Darsonval
Founder and CEO
Twelve years as a Navy SEAL. One week he trained under world class coaching. The next he was alone with a barbell in a plywood gym overseas: same standard, none of the guidance. Velocity is the coach he needed in that gym. Max leads the company, the product and the partnerships that put it in the hands of athletes and operators.
02Devin James
Technical Cofounder
Devin has led engineering as a CTO since 2013. At Screenpush International he ran 60 engineers and creatives building for Fortune 500 brands, and at an agriculture technology company he put a live sensor network across four farms. He cofounded Velocity with Max and leads its engineering and AI, from the sensor to the app to Ve. Named inventor on Velocity's patent pending method.
03Dr David Lipman
Head of Science and Research
David is a medical doctor. He studied exercise physiology and podiatry, then medicine at Deakin University. He has coached for more than twenty years, most of it in strength and conditioning, and holds coaching credentials in Olympic weightlifting and track and field. At Velocity he sets the training science behind Ve's targets.
04Scott Dickens
Head of Sales
Scott swam for Canada at the Athens 2004 and London 2012 Olympic Games and won Pan American Games gold in the 100 m breaststroke in 2007. He has spent seven years at FORM, the smart swim goggle company, building its global sales channels and partnerships and rising to vice president. He leads Velocity's sales to teams, facilities and partners.
05Jack Middleton
Chief Financial Officer
Jack spent nine years in Naval Special Warfare, four of them as a Navy SEAL operator on global deployments, then ran a $4.2 million program budget as an operations program manager. He has since earned his MBA at the University of San Diego and worked as a venture capital analyst. He runs Velocity's finances with the same discipline.
06Erik Wehse
Chief Commercial Officer
Erik played college soccer and coached goalkeepers for the University of Rio Grande men's team while studying chemistry and biology there. He earned a Master of Business and Science at Keck Graduate Institute, consulting for Genentech, Gilead and Medtronic. An ultramarathon runner, he brings Velocity to the teams, gyms and programs where athletes train.
07Cloe Cunningham
Social Media Manager
Cloe played college volleyball and spent three years with Wilhelmina Models on runway, ecommerce and catalog shoots. She is finishing a marketing degree at the University of San Diego and runs what the world sees of Velocity: the channels, the content and the athletes on them.

Tony Chvala
Advisor · Hardware and supply chain
Tony ran private label and global sourcing at Amazon, served as Global GM at Groupon, and led SHOP.CA as CEO. He has since been COO of 4ocean and an advisor to HP on hardware strategy. At Velocity he advises on the manufacturing partners and supply chain that take the sensor into production.
